Anne Gomez is a singer songwriter and performer of folk song. A soloist and a member of Trochrague Folk , a popular group who delight audiences , mainly in local theatres in and around Glasgow. Anne has been singing for as long as she remembers--from competition festivals,to clubs,weddings and more recently is the organiser of Live Folk...a series of folk concerts in Scottish theatres,to encourage and showcase local talent,as well as the more experienced performer. Although,Anne mainly performs Celtic Folk,she isn't rigid about genre boundaries and will often sing popular ballads ( standards ) alongside her celtic music and her own original songs. Anne has versatile vocals with a hint of ' Joan Baez and Eva Cassidy,but she is adament that she sounds very much herself. She plays Bodhran,mandolin and is currently teaching herself guitar. She loves the challenge of solo work,but really enjoys the fun of being in a band.
