Electralyte continue to push forward both sonically and interpersonally. This 4-piece from Essex are proving to be a popular attraction in London and the surrounding areas with their unique brand of classic song writing blended with a cutting and modern edge, angular guitars, left of centre chord progressions and rhythm that's sure to get you moving! "[This band] utilise the same prog-indie sound as a lot of Muse copyists but unlike most of their peers they've got tunes (very uplifting ones n' all). Hard hitting and emotive stuff." - Bugbear Promotions, Nov. 2008. Electralyte have recently been seen supporting Officer Kicks (support for Razorlight, The Hoosiers) and the Real People (quoted as a key influence of Oasis), and have in turn headlined their own shows at the Hope & Anchor, Islington and in their hometown of Chelmsford. The band can currently be heard getting regular air-play on BBC Essex Introducing (Fridays 7pm, 103.5FM) alongside some of the other best unsigned bands from the area. The depth of Electralyte's musical arrangements produce a sound-scape that is as thoughtful and diverse as the sharp lyrical content. The songs come across as a combination of indie, dance, rock, electro referencing recent bands such as Kasabian, the Kaiser Chiefs, Arctic Monkeys. Throw on top of this the melodic finesse of performers such as Paul Weller, Karen Carpenter and Rufus Wainwright and Electralyte's musical connection is revealed. Stop off at another unmissable gig soon and keep an ear out for new recorded material due for release early April 2009!
