In the climate of current contemporary urban music, arises an artist known as Karl Nova who seeks to break the stereotypical mold through the vehicle of the spoken word. Whether it is in rap format, spoken word poetry, heartfelt street psalms as he calls them, he seeks to give voice to the search for meaning and deep need for faith, hope and spirituality that relates to everyday living.

He started in church but grew disillusioned by the discrepancies. His music and poetry is like a diary of his journey, his highs and his lows, his discoveries and his breakthroughs. He seeks to be an alternative and positive voice in this midst of the storm.
