Hailing from south Kilkenny and comprising Stevie Cullen on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, M.J. O'Carroll on lead guitar and backing vocals, Vam on bass guitar, and drummer Joe Glynn, Myp et Jeep have brought their distinctive catchy rock sound the length and breadth of the country with a string of performances supporting the likes of Snow patrol, Republic of Loose and The Frank and Walters to name but a few. Getting off to a great start as winners of the Kilkenny battle of the bands, followed by a string of dates in the UK, Myp et Jeep quickly became a favourite at Dublin’s Garage gigs with their catchy hooks and melodic anthems. The band’s sound has developed further with the recording of their album, and with U2 and Elvis Costello main man Leo Pearson manning the controls and maestro mixer Richard Rainey (U2, Mansun, Ash) working his little fingers to the bone, there will be no stopping these guys becoming chart contenders in the coming months. Their debut album, Blood is Not Enough, will be released on Reekus in January 2009, with the lead single from the album, Enough is Enough, available on September 19th.
