SlitCell, a melodic metalcore/groove metal four piece from Liverpool, UK is made up of Jack Langfeld (drums), Adam Gaskill (guitars & vocals), Mike Woodward (guitars & lead vocals) and Amy Langfeld (bass). SlitCell today is very much built on the backbone of Jack & Adam's former band which recruited Amy on Bass followed a few months later by Mike on guitar, during the process of reforming as SlitCell.

The following year was busy with exams so opportunities for rehearsals were few and far between. The band spent considerable time searching for a lead vocalist before Mike revealed the talent that was on their doorstep all along. Mid way through 2008 momentum began to build, the band wrote new material, signed management and production deals with local music company Live Sounds CIC, appointing Ben Langfeld as the band's manager, played a slot at the Big Fat Summer Bash 2.0 at Liverpool Carling Academy and recorded a demo EP at Sandhills Studios in Liverpool.

After a busy period running up to the end of 2008 the band were still focusing on work for the demo EP including artwork and arranging a full web presence. After the much anticipated release of the EP, expected to be around Easter, the band plan to gig as much as possible around Liverpool, get their music heard as widely as possible and increase their profile on the local and national metal scene.
